As a long-time fan of both your work and of most things Lovecraft, this picture makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Seriously, as an HPL fan, I have to say thank you for not making it look like a boring old flabby dude with wings and an octopus head. I've seen far too many Cthulhus (Cthulhi? Cthulhoi? Cthulhae?) that looked like uninspired photoshops.
Did I mention I absolutely love the hunched pose and the glower in its eye?

I seriously dislike the 'fat and sassy' Cthulhu arts I see all the time. He's supposed to be a DEAD god, isn't he? Hence the sorta skeletal look and peeling skin and semi-coral looking bits on him. Also, extra eyes ftw.
Not bad I like the scale of him and how you make it look like he is part of the tortured mountain landscape. I just completed a Cthulhu drawing myself if you want a gander. [link]

You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Also, you can never have too many eyes on extradimensional horrors.

As for the context of the pic, I like to think that it's right before the little people summon Hotei to fight Cthulhu with his ROCK!!!

Patrick: I think they have a cream for that.
XD
Seriously, that is an awesome pic. One of the best I've seen, and I generally dislike Lovecraft-related stuff.
